We’re Back Covering Britney Spears!

It’s been a while, but the break is over and we’ve got lots of Britney Spears stuff to catch up on, so let’s get right to it.

I’m sure you know everything that’s been happening over the last few months but I would feel remiss if I did not at least make this new post for 2008 a mini-catchup post for the Content Quake fans or for those of you who have been hiding in a cave to recenter themselves.

At one point, it was reported by Star Magazine reported that Britney Spears has a secret sex room equipped with ticklers, whips and fur-trimmed handcuffs hanging from the metal bed frame. (Soooo, what’s the problem?)

Britney “stole” a lighter from a gas station - (Well, she walked out and didn’t pay for it), but then a very nice paparazzi…. …. … Well, a paparazzi went back and paid for it for her.

In early December, Britney ‘called in sick’ to a custody deposition for her children, but then was caught partying that night.

On December 16th of 2007, it seemed she was one of the last to find out that her baby sister, Jamie Lynn Spears was pregnant and got angry with her mother about the situation.

At one point, Britney was making noise that Kevin Federline was exposing the kids to pot and wanted them drug tested.

On December 23rd, it seemed that she ’scored’ on one paparazzi (Would that be pop-a-razzi?) in Woodland Hills, CA at the Penninsula Hotel.

Britney had a spell and was taken to Cedars-Sinai Hospital for observation. While there, Dr. Phil made a publicity play with her or his fan base, but that backfired horribly as lots of things came of that - Like finding out he’s not being licensed in CA, was not invited by the patient and little things like that. Sorry Phil, your Spears family special will have to wait.

Britney hooked up with another paparazzi. His name is Adnan Ghalib. He’s stuck around longer than some of the other scores she’s had and confuses me as to his status.. some say he’s just in it for the money as it’s been rumored he’s trying to sell imagery for a million or two. (Wow, the humanity of it all.)

In fact, in more than a likely effort at some media exposure, Adnan defended some of Britney’s confused actions with the following statements to Entertainment Tonight:

  • On her hospitalization following a Jan. 3 standoff with police:
    “She didn’t understand why she was taken to the hospital,”
  • On Spears being photographed buying a pregnancy test:
    “She has a very maternal instinct,”
  • On losing visitation rights with her kids Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1:
    “Her primary focus is on re-establishing a relationship with [them],”
  • On Britney’s mental state: “She is not crazy at all,”.
    Maybe Britney isn’t the one we should worry about!

Back to the recap: On January 28th, Britney and Sam Lutfi had such a massive blow up that the LAPD had to be called in, or maybe, just had to go back.. being as they are more acting as her own entourage than anything else.. ok, an armed entourage.

Of course, the latest is that our favored pop-star was admitted to the UCLA Medical Center and the doctors have noted that she is gravely ill with a bipolar disorder. (Of which I say, we knew that folks… look at the track record.. now quit whining and help the girl.)

With Britney in the extended stay UCLA (For 14 additional days) a judge named a lawyer and her father temporary conservators of her estate.. which I don’t get. The last 2 week vacation I took did not require legal documentation about my estate, AND a restraining order has been issued for Sam Lutfi. Being the upstanding citizen that he is, he’s not answering the door or phone or what not. (I say just wait.. he’s got to order pizza sometime soon.)

When Britney found out her dad was in charge of her estate, she flipped, but after a quick court hearing, he has been left in charge.

AND FINALLY. SOME NEWS FROM TODAY: Britney Spears’ papsmear “boyfriend” Adnan Ghalib tried to visit her at UCLA Medical center yesterday but her mother, Lynne Spears, bounced him at the door. Go mom. Finally, she did something motherly for a change.

Britney SpearsIf her latest doctor visit is of any help, and she gets back on the road that she’s veered from, we can all hope that the Britney of old, as seen here in the Getty Images pic, comes a’shinin’ through again.

Sorry this is such a big post, but I had a lot of catchin’ up to do. We’re back, and unless I get run over by a truck, or hit by a meteorite, I’ll be keeping you up to date most days on the intricate web that has been weaved by Britney Spears.

    You have so many choices of what to write with Britney that I think you could post several times a day. Keep it up.

    Hey Cameron, You’re right - we have lots of possibilities with Britney.. hopefully, they’ll all be good.
